Sysdyne Staff Spotlight: Walker Scott
Throughout the coming weeks, we are proud to present some of our customer service representatives. These are our employees who implement ConcreteGO and iStrada, as well as those who install Sysdyne Cloud Batch controls. They are behind every online customer support session and phone call, during and after business hours. They are your account managers and your go-to person if you have any questions or seek support from Sysdyne.
This week, we hear from Walker Scott:
“I’ve been with Sysdyne for almost two years. I’m excited to be on board with such an innovative group as Sysdyne Technologies. Utilizing my 32 years of industry experience in batching, dispatching, truck tracking through back office and delivering revolutionary benefits of Sysdyne products to our customers is something I love to do every day!
As Project Implementations Manager and Application Specialist, I find great satisfaction in implementing robust solutions like Sysdyne’s Suite of Cloud Products to our customers. Hearing a new customer say, ‘I can do that? Wow!’ Or ‘That one feature will save me 2 hours per day!’ is music to my ears!
The new Cloud Batch software is something I never thought I would get to experience. Just 3 years ago, I would not have thought it possible for a plant manager to connect via laptop and internet connection, from a remote location, and actually troubleshoot a plant issue! Then run what reports he needs at the end of the day with the click of a button.
All of this without having to maintain cumbersome onsite servers, databases, and the rest. And software upgrades? They are pushed out automatically from the Cloud and don’t require plant downtime to perform the upgrade! It just happens!
When I saw GPS hit the industry several decades ago, I didn’t think anything could top that – Well… I was wrong. Watching our customers’ customers receive text messages when a load has left the plant or simply connect to a web portal and download their eTickets and view batch weights is amazing!
Our customers build communities’ homes, buildings, roads, bridges and much more. To be able to help them in this endeavor is hugely rewarding. And when retirement eventually happens one day, I can look back and say, ‘I helped build that!'”
