QUALITY ENGINEERING TECHNICAL MANAGER

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Quality Engineering Technical Manager to build and lead a new cross-functional quality engineering team focused on cloud-based development across AWS and Azure platforms. This role combines technical leadership with strategic quality engineering direction, requiring someone who can establish QE processes while building a high-performing team. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that this individual will travel to our Stamford, CT office as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, mentor, and lead a cross-functional quality engineering team.

  • Establish and implement quality engineering practices, frameworks, and processes.

  • Drive quality engineering strategy across multi-cloud (AWS/Azure) environments.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate quality practices throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Define and implement quality metrics, testing frameworks, and automation strategies.

  • Lead technical decisions around testing tools, practices, and infrastructure.

  • Foster a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement.

  • Provide technical mentorship and career development for team members.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading quality engineering initiatives in cloud environments.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams.
  • Strong technical background in test automation, CI/CD practices, and quality frameworks.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining cloud-based testing infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
  • Expertise in multiple programming languages and testing frameworks.
  • History of successful collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring and developing engineering talent.
